This policy outlines how we collect, use, and safeguard your information across our website and the Shipday-powered merchant platform.

1. Information We Collect

  • Merchant Data: Name, business address, email, phone number, and billing information.

  • Delivery Data: Recipient names, delivery addresses, and phone numbers for SMS tracking notifications.

  • Technical Data: IP addresses, browser type, and usage data via cookies to optimize our AI-routing software.

2. How We Use Your Data

  • To facilitate and track real-time deliveries in the Ottawa-Gatineau region.

  • To provide SMS and email updates to recipients.

  • To process payments and prevent fraudulent transactions.

  • To comply with Ontario and Quebec provincial transport regulations.

3. Data Sharing & Third Parties We do not sell your data. We share information only with essential service providers, including:

  • Shipday: Our dispatch and tracking engine.

  • Stripe/Interac: For secure payment processing.

  • Cloud Hosting: Secure servers located in Canada to ensure PIPEDA compliance.

4. Data Security We employ industry-standard encryption (SSL/TLS) for all data in transit. Delivery data (photos of delivery and signatures) is stored securely and accessible only to the merchant and XpeedMile administration.

5. Your Rights (PIPEDA & Law 25) In accordance with Canadian federal law (PIPEDA) and Quebec’s Law 25, you have the right to access, correct, or request the deletion of your personal information. Contact: info@xpeedmile.ca

Terms of Use

By using the XpeedMile website or opening a Business Account, you agree to the following terms.

1. Service Scope XpeedMile Solutions Ltd. provides courier and last-mile logistics services within the National Capital Region (Ottawa-Gatineau). We reserve the right to refuse any shipment that is illegal, hazardous, or improperly packaged.

2. Limitation of Liability (The $100 Cap)

  • Standard Coverage: Unless otherwise declared in writing and paid for via Additional Value Protection (AVP), XpeedMile’s liability for lost or damaged goods is strictly limited to $100.00 CAD per shipment.

  • Exclusions: We are not liable for indirect or consequential damages (loss of profit) or delays caused by "Acts of God" (e.g., severe Ottawa winter storms, road closures).

3. Prohibited Items We do not transport:

  • Currency, jewelry, or high-value negotiable instruments.

  • Illegal narcotics or prohibited weapons.

  • Hazardous waste or improperly sealed bio-materials.

4. Delivery & "Non-Delivery"

  • Wait Time: Drivers will wait a maximum of 10 minutes at a pickup/drop-off location. Additional wait time is billed at $1.00/minute.

  • Re-Delivery: If a recipient is unavailable and no "Safe Drop" is authorized, a re-delivery fee will apply.

5. Payment Terms

  • Individual Bookings: Due at the time of service.

  • Business Accounts: Net-15 or Net-30 terms are available upon credit approval. Late payments are subject to a 2% monthly interest fee.

6. Governing Law These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario. Any disputes shall be settled in the courts of Ottawa, ON.
